Callaway have styled the SteelHead XR Irons on one of their most popular models to date, the Callaway X-14 iron. Callaway have made the blade length longer, given the club a more rounded toe and used their hollow bore thru hosel system compared to the previous XR model.
360 Cup Face Technology - A new Cup Face technology increases the consistency of the face flex and energy release at impact to give you explosive ball speeds that means…..more distance especially on off-centre strikes.
Increased Feel and Higher Launch - A layer of steel-infused Polyurethane has been positioned in the lower face to absorb vibration and lowers the CG for a faster ball speed and a higher more forgiving ball flight.
Hollow-Bore Thru Hosel - This design helps save and reposition weight in the head where it can be used to produce more consistent strikes across the whole face and make it easier to launch the ball.
Progressive CG Positioning - Allows the set to become progressive, the long irons have an extremely low and back CG for improved launch and carry conditions, the mid irons have a low back CG for easy launch and distance control and the short irons have a low, middle CG to deliver a soft landing ball flight that will allow you to attack pins.
The stock shaft in the SteelHead XR steel irons is the brilliant True Temper XP95 Stepless shaft, this lightweight steel shaft will help produce a consistent feel, flight and control to maximise performance all the way through the set.
